For many years John was a respected member of the Hoebridge golf club, where for more years than I care to remember he has been the king-pin of the weekly roll-up called the ‘Aches & Pains.’ Here his patients and understanding was respected by all who came into contact with him. He was a trusted friend, a keen golfer, a talented and reliable organiser, devoted to his wife Mo, of whom he would say “ Love her to bits.” As a tribute to John, to say he will be sadly missed, by the ‘Aches & Pains’ has to be a gross understatement.
